Student Advancement
The decision to move to a more advanced level class is dependent on the student's mastery of the material and is made by the instructor.
All classes require a minimum of 5 students; teachers reserve the right to cancel class if this minimum is not reached.
Beginning Taiko (Pre-requisite: Introductory Taiko Workshop or previous intro experience)
*Develop basic naname kata on chu and odaiko
Level 1 (Pre-requisite: Beginning Taiko and instructor's recommendation)
*Continue development of naname form
*Intro to beta style, soloing
Level 2 (Pre-requisite: Level 1 and instructor's recommendation)
*Focus on refining form, technique, soloing
*Intro to shime technique, improvisation
Level 3 (Pre-requisite: Level 2 and instructor's recommendation)
*Continue to refine technique on chu (naname & beta), soloing, improvisation
*Intro to odaiko technique
